I give thanks for my girls. Always. We waited so long for them and it still amazes me that they are actually here. I am thankful for the fact that we were chosen to be their parents, that they are happy and love their life. I am thankful that they are healthy and that they have a deep love for each other. They are true sisters and it warms my heart to see how they look after and look out for each other. Our love for them is bigger than we ever thought was possible.
We have a beautiful little pond quite close to our house. I snapped this shot on one of our walks to feed the ducks. So glad I did because today they are totally covered with snow. We are in the middle of a snow storm and I can't help but miss summer.
This week I just had to share a photo of my oldest from this weekend. She had her dance recital and they danced to the music from the film "Madagaskar". She decided she wanted to be a tiger so we pulled out a fitting costume and I painted her face. She loved it! And the performance was just splendid.
This week the theme over at I Heart Faces is "paper". At first I thought of newspapers but then I remembered this shot of my youngest. She was on the floor coloring in her coloringbook and with huge piece of paper under her knees so she wouldn't color on the floor. So...several layers of paper in this shot.
Some of you may have seen this shot over at Mellow Yellow but I just had to show it here as well. It's one of my favourites! I love that vibrant yellow against the perfect blue sky. It was also a perfect summer day!
I played around with one of the shots from this summer. We did our early visit to one of our biggest amusementparks and I took this photo while riding the Ferris Wheel. It was a gorgeous hot day and we had great fun.
