I went through some shot from last summer. I just love this one of my oldest. She didn't give me the ususal fake smile, she just looked very sweetly straight at me and I love how natural she looks. I really like that your eye can immediately spot three colors very clearly - blue, green and yellow.
This is a shot from October (since everything is still frozen around here). I really love the color version because of the warm light and the blurry background. I do however really lika the BW version too. I just upped to contrast a bit. But....I keep coming back to that warm color shot...
Our big lake is frozen. That means swimming will be so cold this summer. We had a glorious and very cold weekend and there were so many people skating on the lake. I took the girls down to our beach to have a look at and photograph all the beautiful ice formations and just enjoy the afternoon. The girls thought it was hysterically funny that they could walk out on the lake where we go swimming in the summer.
This week over at I Heart Faces the theme is cell phone. To be able to participate you have to use your cell phone to take a shot. I never use my cell phone to take photos so this week the little one and I did our own thing with the theme. We won't be able to play along in the challenge but here is our take on "Cell Phones"!
Sometimes you just need a cup of coffee and something tasty to go with it to get your energy back and think straight again. It has just been one of those days with too many meetings, too much noice and a feeling of being needed in twenty places at once.
In honour of Valentines week I thought I'd post this shot of an old wooden door from one of our nearby castles. The lock is just perfect and I thought it was so cute. I like the BW better myself actually. Much more interesting and with a little more drama.
I asked the little one what we should do for this weeks theme being hearts. She didn't say anything, just ran off and came back immediately with her heart soap from the bathroom. She held it over her own heart and said, "Now you can take the picture!". My little sweetheart...she knows how to pose for her mummy.
I'm sticking with the rabbit theme this week in honour of Chinese New Year.
My little rabbit! She is the best model and she hasn't quite reached the age where they start to really pose. She is just a natural in front of the camera and she thought it was hilarious with the face paint.
